The Jim Cregan New Acoustic Band

Ticket price: £26

About this event

Jim’s Cregan’s early work with Blossom Toes, Family, Linda Lewis, Cat Stevens and Cockney Rebel eventually lead him to join the new band started by Rod Stewart after the break-up of The Faces. Jim stayed for 18 years as Rod’s band-leader, co-writer and co-producer. Together they wrote such songs as Tonight I’m Yours, Forever Young, Passion and most recently Brighton Beach from Rod’s Number 1 album “Time“.In the mid-90s Jim returned to writing and producing, with credits ranging from Willie Nelson and Kid Rock, to The Gypsy Kings and Joe Cocker, among many, many others. He played on Katie Melua’s first two albums – both reaching number 1 – and has received over 50 gold & platinum records to date, and his guitar solo on Cockney Rebel’s Come Up And See Me (Make Me Smile) still sounds alright!

Now Jim has an exciting new project – The Jim Cregan Acoustic band – which, in addition to his pals from Cregan & Co Sam Tanner and Pat Davey, also features Stuart Elliott on drums and Marion Fleetwood on violin.
