Classical Afternoons at BAC- Astor Palm Court in aid of St Margaret’s Hospice

Classical Afternoons at BAC – Join us at Bridgwater Arts Centre for a new monthly Afternoon Classical Concert series, featuring live performances in an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. An ideal way to enjoy classical music during the day.

The Astor Palm Court is widely regarded as one of the most active groups continuing the tradition of fine light music from the Palm Court era. Each year, they perform at over 100 events, proudly “bringing music to the people.” In 2026, the musicians will travel to Bridgwater for an afternoon concert featuring beloved music from stage, television, film, opera, ballet, and the concert hall.

The performance will be interspersed with humorous anecdotes and lively commentary, offering audiences glimpses into the life of an orchestral musician and introducing some of the many personalities and conductors the ensemble has collaborated with over the past four decades.

Over their impressive careers, the musicians have performed across four continents, supported major pop artists, and contributed to movie soundtracks and TV shows—including Downton Abbey—making this upcoming event truly unmissable.

Proceeds will be donated to St Margaret’s Hospice
