About this event

Emma Forrester is a Somerset-based author whose novels explore community, resilience, and the extraordinary strength of ordinary people. Having made Somerset her home for more than 30 years, she draws inspiration from the people, places, and landscapes that surround her.

Her debut novel, Queen’s Road, is set on an ordinary Somerset street in a town based on Bridgwater and follows a group of neighbours navigating an unexpected crisis together. Blending humour, heart, and emotional realism, Emma’s writing focuses on the relationships that help people endure and the communities that emerge when life is at its most challenging.
Alongside writing, Emma has built a career working in people, culture, and inclusion roles within the NHS, experiences that have deepened her interest in human connection and belonging. When she is not writing, Emma enjoys reading, gardening, spending time by the Somerset coast, and dreaming up new stories. She lives in Somerset with her family and is currently working on the next books in the Queen’s Road series.
Join Emma for ‘An Afternoon Inside Queen’s Road, with readings, chat, a giveaway and the chance to buy signed copies of Queen’s Road.
