Each season we host a diverse selection of workshops, classes and clubs.
Booking Your Workshop
Courses must be booked and paid for in advance. Places are limited and, in some cases, demand is very high. We reserve the right to cancel under-subscribed classes & workshops.
If you wish to enrol but are unable to pay your full fee up-front, please contact Administration on 01278 422700 before the term starts to discuss alternative arrangements.

Regular Classes
Wednesdays
WATERCOLOURS – BEGINNERS
Wed 10am–12 noon
£84; £72 conc. (This can be split over two half-terms: £42; £36 conc).
With
Karen Roberts. A course for the beginner and those with little
experience. The basics of drawing and watercolour will be explained,
with a variety of techniques introduced over the course.
Weekly: 11 Jan– 28 March. Half-term: 15 Feb.
JAZZ WORKSHOP
Wed 7.30-9.30pm (fortnightly)
£49, £42 conc
With
Bob Hitchings. Open to musicians of all abilities and instruments, but
please contact us if you’ve not been before to check there is space for
you. Play arrangements of jazz standards, with help and advice on
interpretation and improvisation techniques. An ability to read music
is an advantage, but not essential.
Fortnightly: 11 & 25 Jan, 08 & 22 Feb, 7 & 21 March
VOICE OF THE PEOPLE - Community Choir
Wed 7.30-9.30pm
£84; £72 conc. (This can be split over two half-terms: £42; £36 conc).
New
members of all ages and abilities are welcome to join our Community
Choir. Run by Yvette Staelens, explore songs, rounds and chants from
around the globe.
Weekly: 11 Jan– 28 March. Half-term: 15 Feb.
BOOK CLUB
Wed 8:00pm (monthly)
Run
by its members, the Book Club meets on the 11th January 2012 and thereafter on the first Wednesday of each month
to share their thoughts on a variety of books selected by the group.

each month’s selected reading!

handling watercolours, helping you gain confidence and develop your own
style.

SINEAD GILESPIE, WRITER IN RESIDENCE
Thu 10.30am – 3pm
Sinead Gilespie, who recently staged her one-woman show ‘From Within’
at the Arts Centre, is in residence at Bridgwater Arts Centre on
Thursdays. You’ll find her busily typing away in the gallery or bar,
and she’ll be happy to share with you whatever she’s working on,
however rough, for your comments. This year, with the support of 'Brit
Writers', she is en route to publishing her first novel, working title
"...but I Love You". Here’s to new writing!
