ELLING (15)
A film by Peter Næss.
Nominated as Best Foreign film at the 2002 Oscars, Elling is a touching
Norweigian film that may have passed you by - until now. A gentle,
odd-couple comedy, the film follows the travails of two middle aged
patients - the anxious, sensitive Elling and his dense, loutish
room-mate Kjell - as they are released from institutional care and
re-housed in a state-subsidised apartment.
"a good-natured comedy in which eccentricity is something to be
cherieshed, not shunned." BBCi Films

OTWAY / BARRETT 'STRUNG TOGETHER' TOUR
John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett first achieved notoriety with an
eye-watering performance on Old Grey Whistle Test and subsequent hit
single 'Really Free' in 1977.
Otway's heady mix of blind ambition and rank incompetence has kept this
microstar shining for almost two decades despite his ability to turn any
situation to his own disadvantage. His autobiography 'Rock and Roll's
Greatest Failure' out sold, by a factor of ten, all the records he had
released since his hit. His second hit came only in 2002 when "Bunsen
Burner" reached the UK number 9, and earned Otway an appearance on Top
Of The Pops.
Wild Willy Barrett is one of the most accomplished
multi-instrumentalists working today, playing acoustic classical guitar
with an original style and virtuosity few could match. His musical style
is witty and his humour onstage is dry. The perfect madcap musical
night-out…

Coen bring Cormac McCarthy’s bracing novel to the screen. In a parched

Direction, Best Picture, Best Actor in a Supporting Role (for Javier
Bardem as assassin Anton Chigurh) and Best Screenplay, the film combines
indelible imagery, expertly judged pacing and note-perfect performances
