BRITISH SCAPES
A collection by Laura Elliott
Bracknell-based Laura Elliott is a contemporary painter, whose subjects
primarily are landscapes, seascapes and sky scapes, using nature,
imagination and the world around her to influence and guide her work.
Laura’s uplifting use of vivid colour comes from her desire to create an
emotional connection with each viewer. Additionally, direction and
movement feature strongly within her work, with bold brush strokes
directing the viewer’s eye. “Art comes alive within people’s minds and I
aim to ignite the same excitement within every person who views or buys
my work.” Laura Elliott |

PAINTINGS BY CHRISTOPHER HOWE
Chris Howe uses bold brush strokes and a limited palette to produce
paintings with an exciting freshness and clarity, demonstrating the
transparency to be achieved with watercolour and soft pastels.
Chris has been living and working in Somerset for the past 18 years. His
main inspiration comes from the countryside around his home but he also
enjoys walking and painting in mountain scenery. He has trained and
exhibited successfully in Somerset where his paintings have drawn many
excellent reviews and an enthusiastic following. His main influences
include work by John Singer Sargent and Edward Seago. The work included
in the exhibition will range from small paintings 20cm x 20cm to large
pieces 90cm x 70cm all fully framed in natural wood.
